St. Clair drops the ball on drinking water monitoring

St. Clair’s 2011 decision to discontinue its drinking water monitoring program created a huge gap in the Huron to Erie Drinking Water Monitoring System, putting both residents in the city and downstream at risk. Authorities suggest that there is a lot of confusion on the topic, leading it to a standstill. With how it is, a spill could occur and the effects could only be identified after it has affected the drinking water.
