The flows from the Tijuana River Mouth once more are contaminated from rain runoff and heading north into Imperial Beach.

As happens every time it rains, the sewage runs into San Diego County and pollutes the water. The closure notice will be up until further notice.

The Silver Strand shoreline is also closed to swimmers, authorities said.

Observations Saturday indicated northward moving ocean currents and contamination of ocean water at Imperial Beach and Silver Strand was suspected.

Signs warning of sewage contaminated water will remain in place until field measurements indicate the ocean water is safe for recreational use.
