Chemistry, Fish, and Water Quality Through Trout Raising Project in NC Schools

In North Carolina, Trout Unlimited’s Trout in the Classroom program is getting students into science by providing trout eggs and chemistry kits. During the year, the students care for the eggs in an aquarium in the classroom. Teachers explain different scientific aspects of raising trout, like pH levels and nitrogen. It is a lot of work for teachers, especially in the first year. But some teachers like how the students enjoy the program. They like the tank full of trout more than gold fish. At the end of the year, the surviving trout are released into local, stocked waters. Read more here:
