Indiana proposes to prevent strict environmental regulations but could it be the next Flint?

A bill was proposed to prohibit Indiana environmental regulators from passing state laws that are stricter than existing federal laws. The bill is known as No More Stringent Than bill. Similar bills have been proposed each year for the past 20 years. Indiana has the largest number of coal-ash lagoons in the United States. It has serious pollution from stormwater and agricultural runoff. Such a bill would prevent state regulators from being proactive and could lead to a situation similar to Flint, Michigan.
