The Environmental Protection Agency recently released an online mapping tool—Drinking Water Mapping Application to Protect Source Waters—to provide the public, water system operators, state programs and federal agencies with information about the state of drinking water nationwide. According to an EPA news release, the DWMAPS allows users to see if water sources are polluted. Information about watersheds and water suppliers is also available on the map.
