Because of an increased demand for clean water and increased pollution levels, Marc Andelman presented a new solution for extracting clean water from inferior water sources. His innovation uses capacitative de-ionisation, or CDI, to extract contaminants from water at a lower cost. This would allow water to be collected from the ground or even bodies of salt water. Andelman argues innovations such as his should take priority to allow developing countries easier access to clean, drinkable water. Read more here:
