Chinese Government Institutes Plan to Stop Water Pollution

China has had a long history of having a dire water pollution crises; waters in certain areas have been murky enough to classify the villages near them as “cancer villages”. However, there is hope for a change. The Chinese government recently instituted the Water Ten Plan which takes big steps to reduce water pollution. It introduces strict restrictions on waste in water and heavy fines for those that do not comply. It also introduces new technology and water treatment methods.
