A Chemical leak from an asphalt plant into the public water system in Corpus Christie was found causing the shut down for water supply to public. According to a news release, “during a recent backflow incident, unknown chemical substances may have contaminated [the] drinking water. People are asked to avoid all contact with the tap water. Water is being tested by officials to eliminate the risk. These steps include reviewing processes and developing new plans and procedures. Read more about the crisis here.
