Well tests conducted in Possum Point show elevated levels for six contaminants linked to ash. The contaminants are linked to the Dominion Virginia Power’s coal ash ponds. In a call to news reporters Friday morning, Dominion officials said paying for the residents to connect to public water – or install filtration systems “is the right thing to do” as the utility explores why the contaminants are showing up in tests of water from two recently dug groundwater monitoring wells.
