Authorities warn that neighbors of Dartmouth University may be vulnerable to water that has been contaminated. For years, Dartmouth College has been using lab mice and other small animals for science experiments, disposing them in a certain site. It has been found that this site has leaked radioactive substances that were used in the experiments into the groundwater that is being used by nearby communities. “Right now, everyone is very confused and concerned,” said Ellen Waitzkin, a radiologist who lives across from the site. “They are trying to determine on what basis they should feel threatened or not.” Read more about it here.
