Westfield Combats With Firefighting Foam Contamination

In Westfield, Massachusetts, a community must deal with water contamination due to the entry of chemicals that are suspected to be from firefighting foam. The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection asked the National Guard to test their wells but have yet to receive a response. In the interim, Westfield shut down two wells. The Massachusetts Department of Public Works states that the water is safe for drinking. Read more about it here.
