Cape Town is facing a drought. Conservation restrictions have been imposed. But the water must be pumped to an expanding city with a growing population through a system that has a 15% leakage rate. Rain this year is missing the dam, so Cape Town is looking into alternatives, including desalination, stormwater, groundwater, and simple, household grey water systems.
