Water ConcernsSTW™ joins the public’s concern about toxins in our tap water that we ingest constantly on a daily basis, without having any knowledge of the immediate and long term health effects. Industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, fertilizers, fossil fuels, household chemicals, human/animal waste, and hospital waste are some of the substances that find their way to contaminate our rivers, lakes, ground water and eventually end up in our drinking tap or bottle water.
Industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, fertilizers, fuels, household chemicals, human/animal waste, and hospital waste are some of the substances that find their way to contaminate our rivers, lakes, ground water and eventually end up in our drinking tap or bottle water. Humanity has grown rapidly without preventing that the waste streams produced from our rapid growth contaminate our sources of water.
Water treatment facilities are rudimentary at best. Sand filters, flocculation, and disinfection are the common methods for treating tap water. Most toxic chemicals pass through these systems unnoticed.
Most bottled water is simply municipal tap water that has been treated one step further to remove taste and odor. In some cases reverse osmosis or carbon filters are used, and by no means all contaminants originally in the tap water are removed. In addition, toxic chemicals in the petroleum derived plastic bottles are sources of contamination that are very harmful to human health.
Save the Water™ a water science laboratory provides low cost water analysis to anyone concerned with the quality of their drinking water. We also make accessible economical water analysis to other non profits that embark on the task of drilling wells to produce water in underdeveloped countries.
The mission of Save the Water™ is to conduct water research to identify toxic chemicals harmful to humans, animals, and the environment. STW™ is committed to finding methods to eliminate the toxins and improve the quality of drinking water.
Save the Water™ improves the quality of lives of all peoples across all levels of socio-economic development by conducting water research and provides educational programs that will ensure cleaner, healthier, saver water for all.
